Does God Hear the Prayers of Saints and Sinners? by John McGlone
Besides open air biblical preaching, the next most neglected ministry in the Christian walk is the prayer closet. To pray to God is to worship, intercede, fast, commune, seeking wisdom and guidance about His will for our lives, the lives of the saints and interceding for the sinners alike.
As I was preparing this article examining the idea of whether or not God hears sinners, the murder of 50 homosexuals and serious injuries to 53 others of the Pulse gay bar in Orlando, FL occurred.
The attack of a Muslim against homosexuals is nothing new. He was just being consistent with his murderous religion. Muslims are taught that homosexuals should be thrown from the highest tower of the city, burned at the stake, stoned, etc.
Quran (7:80-84) – “…For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds…. And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)” – An account that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have interpreted the “rain of stones” on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no other reason is given for the people’s destruction. (Inexplicably, the story is also repeated in suras 15:74, 27:58 and 29:40).
Quran (7:81) – “Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?” This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being “among great sins.”
How does this correlate to Christendom? We see that sodomy is an abomination to God. He hates this vile despicable sexuality because of what it does to the very fabric of His design for family and society. The vast contradictions of the Muslim religion are highlighted by the truths that Jesus taught in the Bible. Though homosexuals are in danger of reprobation, God is able to deliver them if they are willing to surrender to Jesus. The only hope any of us have is for Christ to deliver us from the mouth of hell and our sin that we might live for Him in holiness and truth.
It is interesting to me to find that homosexuals who complain about violence against their community by Muslims, are also willing to be violent toward Christians as they preach. The Christian preacher is simply calling out all sinners from the darkness of sin to the marvelous Light of Jesus Christ. As we often will preach to the homosexuals, “God is an equal opportunity condemner, He judges both homo and hetero sodomites! Both will go to eternal fire” Now, the True and Living God of the Bible desires the sinner to turn and live, so that He may give them mercy that NONE of us deserve.
Another interesting contradiction of the homosexual community is the defense of Islam as a religion of peace. The massacre of homosexuals at the Pulse pervert club, has caused even more confusion from among both groups. The homos are claiming this is just a lone wolf jihadi, the Muslims are claiming they are religion of peace. When will the truth stand in opposition to both groups? I say, when Jesus Christ returns then all liars will have their part in the lake of fire.
Back to the point of this article, “Does God hear sinners as they pray?” The plethora of Scripture I have offered here prove that the answer to my question is a resounding, no. God is not willing to hear from any sinner; lukewarm ‘christian, homosexual or Muslim alike until they have had a godly sorrow that has led them to the cross of Jesus Christ in humble confession and repentance to Him as both Lord and Savior. All the Muslim prayers, five times a day, are repetitious nonsense to the True and Living God of the Bible, Jesus Christ. All the homosexual prayers that cry out whenever their flesh is not comforted in this world are not heard as well. In fact, no prayer of any sinner is heard until the prayer of regret about a life lived without God as their Lord.

The conclusion of the matter is simple. Either you are a sinner, to whom God is not listening, or you are a saint that God is hearing and moving in your life. Friend, if you call yourself a Christian who is living in known, willful sin, God is not listening to you. His ear is heavy toward you and your sins have separated your God from you. Repent today, lest you die in your sin and go to eternal punishment for it!
