Luke 2:1-21 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them. 21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called JESUS, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.

Jer 10:3-5 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. 5 They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good.”

In Jeremiah, we see the prophet speaking of the idolatry of the nation of Israel that had fashioned gods to worship out of trees.  Many in our day will use this passage to call modern ‘Christmas’ trees to be these same trees, thus making that which is not idolatry, sin to other believers.  Whether the Christian community is talking about; Christmas, Easter, or birthdays we can all agree that the pagans have influence in these things.  But, can we be like Paul on Mars Hill?  Did Paul sin by using that place philosophers to talk to them about the Unknown God and relate it to their hearts and minds?

Act 17:22-27 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Can a Jesus believer today celebrate the season of remembrance of Jesus’ birth?  The Bible specifically tells us to celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.  So, we are not specifically commanded to observe His birth.  But, that could be an argument from silence and if Paul became all things to all men that he might see some saved, can we?   Now, I must give credit where it is due because Br. Ruben Israel pointed out some really great things about why this passage can’t be used this way.  I am cutting and pasting most of what he said, with a few side observations.

Israel Ruben Does Jeremiah chapter 10 really speak against Christmas trees?

The verses commonly used is found in Jeremiah 10:3-5;
“For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree…. is it in them to do good”

I question that verse for several reasons, but let me start off with I do NOT display a Christmas tree in my house and using this verse is a weak argument.

The text is talking about trees being cut, with the work of workmen and the axe. Then these trees are decked with silver and gold, fasten by nails and will not move. Upright like a palm tree but do not speak and we should not be afraid of them.

Here are my reasons I believe this text is NOT speaking of what we call a ‘Christmas tree’ today.

1. Christmas was not ever heard of when Jeremiah spoke this [Jeremiah was
born 650 BC]

2.  Christmas tree does NOT resemble a ‘palm tree’

3.   I do not know anyone who is ‘afraid’ of a Christmas trees, most people get happy when they see a Christmas tree.

4.  I have never heard of anyone claiming a Christmas tree talks

However there is a tree that has ALL the above and no one ever brings up.

That would be a ‘totem pole’

These were tress cut by workmen, decked with silver and gold, fasten by nails, with legs but not moving, upright like a palm tree, gives the impression they could speak and can appear scary if you walked up to one.

They are weird looking idols.

Could it be that Jeremiah 10 is speaking of ‘totem poles’ and NOT ‘Christmas trees’ and that is ‘the way of the heathen’ that loved idols?

Face it, Christmas trees are not idols, I’ve never seen anyone bow and pray to them. I do not recall a Christmas tree answering prayers…..however…..a ‘totem pole’ is an idol with legs, eyes, mouths and colors. They are made to be worshipped and those heathen think if you bow to them, you might get a stroke of good luck.

This is just my opinion, as you may have another but I personally question using that Jeremiah 10 when coupled with a Christmas tree. And IF you subscribe that Jeremiah 10 is speaking of a Christmas tree, my question would be. IF someone puts up an artificial Christmas tree would that be an idol or does it need to be a spruce, pine, or fir tree?

-Uncle Ruben

Wondering why the saints of God wouldn’t celebrate Jesus’ birth as the angels did proclaiming good news of the Messiah’s birth. Of course I will grant you certain things:  1. We’re not sure the day  2.  We should not worship dumb idols like; totem asheroth poles,  silver or gold trees, yule logs, or other pagan devices  3.   We should be so thankful He came born of a virgin, Holy Ghost conceived to die for our sin.  4. We should use this season to promote the Gospel and lift Jesus Christ up that He may draw all men unto Himself, amen.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Lighting Up Louisville by the Holy Ghost

Looneyville Gets Crazy for Idols!
by John McGlone

We headed up to Louisville, KY to preach the Light Up Louisville event the day after a blessed Thanksgiving.  Bros Marvin &  Joshua Heiman, my son Daniel, and my daughters Caitlin and Sarah made up our group braving almost freezing temperatures as God wanted us to get to this idolatrous event to bring some heat of the Holy Ghost upon the hearts and minds of men during this season.

I was blessed to speak at length to seven young adult Baptist Christians. Of course the following were hot topics; sinless perfection, OSAS, Lordship Salvation, daily sinful disobedience. One of the young men were very offended, yet most seemed very excited about the preaching. Pray they would continue to seek the truth!

I was blessed again to have young man who was desiring to come to our ‘church’ and very much approved of the open air preaching. He even knew the local preacher Chad Johnson who regularly preaches in Louisville.
I was blessed again to speak to a young black woman who had three children from different fathers. I prayed and asked the Lord to bless. and guide them. She was appreciative and the children were very excited to get the tracts about Jesus coming to ‘town’.
We preached a lot about good parenting, not lying to our children about Santa Claus, Rudolph, or Frosty. To give them the gift of godly parenting which would point the children to Jesus. We spoke about how parents; dads and moms would have the greatest judgment before Jesus for their children.
I had one very large young man with a lot of children breathe out murderous threats against me because his children were reaching out for tracts. I was surprised at his venom as he said, “Don’t get that sh#t near my children!” I was going to correct his grammar and vulgar language but the Lord lead me to tell him, “My King is going to burn you, if you don’t repent!”
Many were offended that our youth would be there testifying against them as well. They thought that we were corrupting our children. Wow, the carnal mind can’t get anything straight at all. I say many homosexual with young children that were not theirs biologically. The homosexual ageda includes the adoption of a whole generation of children to indoctrinate them and make homo normalized in our culture. “Christians”, where are you?
Marvelous preaching!

Get out there saints and light up your city for Jesus Christ, while there is yet light to give to these poor miserable souls lost in the darkness of their sin!

Luke 2:6-14 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Does God Hear Sinners Pray?

Prayers of the Saints & Sinners
by John McGlone

1 Pet 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

I am prompted to write the blog as my KY friends and neighbors are in danger of losing their homes with 21 wildfires that were deliberately set by some wicked twisted vandal.  Here are some pictures of their dilemma, I ask the saints of God to pray.  Sinners or ‘Sinner-saints’ need not apply nor try to seek God in any matters. He is not regarding your petitions.  Now, before you are needlessly offended ask yourself where I get such ideas?  My answer of course is the Holy Bible which is why I implore you to keep reading this important post.  Examine yourself in light of what God hath said.  2 Cor 13:5

Beside preaching, the next most neglected ministry in the Christian walk is the prayer closet.  To pray to him is to worship, intercede, fast, commune,  seeking wisdom and guidance about our lives, the lives of the saints and the sinners alike.  The question that is begged when I think upon praying to God is, “Does God listen to what I am speaking with Him about?”  The very next question is, “Does God speak to me and answer what I am seeking?”  God can answer in three distinct ways, though I would not limit that.  Those three ways are:  1. Yes 2. No 3. Wait So, with that in mind let us not fool ourselves that we are in charge but that God should be both Savior and LORD of our lives.

Joh 9:31  Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Isa 59:1-3  Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3  For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

1Ki 8:47  Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; 48  And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name: 49  Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, 50  And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

Psa_66:20  Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Heb_13:3  Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Psa_80:4  O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

Psa_141:5  Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Psa_109:7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty, And let his prayer become sin.

Pro 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Pro_15:8  The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Pro_15:29  The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Pro_28:9  One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Isa_26:16  LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

Isa_56:7  Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Jer_7:16  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jer_11:14  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

Lam_3:8  Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

Lam_3:44  Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

Dan_9:3  And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Dan_9:13  As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

Dan_9:17  Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

Dan_9:21  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

Jon_2:7  When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

Mat_17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Mat_21:13  And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mat_21:22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mat_23:14  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Mar_9:29  And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Mar_11:17  And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mar_12:40  Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Luk_1:13  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Luk_2:37  And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Luk_5:33  And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

Luk_6:12  And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Luk_19:46  Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Luk_22:45  And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

Luk_20:47  Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

Act_1:14  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Act_2:42  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Act_3:1  Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Act_6:4  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Act_10:4  And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Act_10:31  And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

Act_12:5  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Act_16:13  And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Act_16:16  And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

Rom_1:9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Rom_10:1  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Rom_12:12  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Rom_15:30  Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

1Co_7:5  Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

2Co_1:11  Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

2Co_9:14  And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

Eph_6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Php_1:4  Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

Php_1:19  For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Php_4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Col_4:2  Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Eph_1:16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

Col_4:12  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

1Th_1:2  We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

1Ti_2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

1Ti_4:5  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1Ti_5:5  Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

2Ti_1:3  I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

Phm_1:4  I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

Phm_1:22  But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

Heb_5:7  Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Jas_5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Jas_5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1Pe_3:7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

1Pe_3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

1Pe_4:7  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Rev_5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Rev_8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Rev_8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

God’s Word is preeminent in the life of a true Christian.  If you believe what you just read, then you have three responses: 1. pray as a saint and be heard and answered  2. pray as a sinner to wit God is not listening  3.  pray as a sinner-saint to wit God gives you greater accountability and still won’t listen until you truly repent and stop your sin job.

Hillary Rotten Clinton Exposed on a Massive Scale

BREAKING BOMBSHELL: NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes with Children, Child Exploitation, Pay to Play, Perjury

Saints of the Most High God, I have been praying for a year that Killary Rotten Clinton, the whole Clinton Foundation, Obama & his corrupt,Muslim infested Executive Branch would be exposed beyond denial. It seems that is happening, now right before the election. We had a registered Democrat at NKU tell us the other day that he along with all of his politico friends will be voting for Trump because, she stomps all over little people, and Trump has many stories of helping the little guy. I will try and get that video posted later today. Pray for more exposure as the Lord wills and that the Democrats will finally be silenced into submission. Lastly, this news source is really good because unlike other websites it is generally free from much adverts and is definitely free of the usual slutty videos and pictures the whoremongers love to see.

Here is the video of a Northern Ky University Democrat student declaring his vote for Trump and he goes on to say his friends will too!

Hillary: “The scandal where, (while I was Secretary if State), the State Department signed off on a deal to sell 20% of the USA’s uranium to a Canadian corporation that the Russians bought, netting a $145 million donation from Russia to the Clinton Foundation and a $500,000 speaking gig for Bill from the Russian Investment Bank that set up the corporate buyout?. That scandal?”
Trump” “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “That time I lied when I said I was under sniper fire when I got off the plane in Bosnia?”
Trump” “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “That time when after I became the First Lady, I improperly requested a bunch of FBI files so I could look for blackmail material on government insiders?”
Trump” “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “That time when Bill nominated Zoe Baird as Attorney General, even though we knew she hired illegal immigrants and didn’t pay payroll taxes on them?”
Trump” “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “When I got Nigeria exempted from foreign aid transparency guidelines despite evidence of corruption because they gave Bill a $700,000 in speaking fees?”
Trump” “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “That time in 2009 when Honduran military forces allied with rightist lawmakers ousted democratically elected President Manuel Zelaya, and I as then-Secretary of State sided with the armed forces and fought global pressure to reinstate him?”
Trump: “No, the other one.”
Hillary: “I give up! … Oh wait, I think I’ve got it! When I stole the White House furniture, silverware, when Bill left Office?”
Trump: “THAT’S IT! I almost forgot about that one”.

False Accusations at Middle Tenn State U – Murfreesboro, TN

We were falsely accused of many things by most of the students on the Middle Tenn State University during our outreaches there recently.  My responses are outlined in the following letter to the editor in the weblink below.  These false allegations by the MTSU students reveal the bigotry and bias of the students against God, His Word, the Truth, and the preachers.

Here is the original story filled with false allegations.  The Lord compelled me to address this properly so that others including faculty and students who may not have attended the two days of meetings could get a better understanding of what happened.

Walking the Tightrope of the Holiness Way!
by John McGlone

UPDATE 1/30/17:  Recently, while preaching in Washington, DC at the inauguration I was approached by David Giro of LaCroix and Skelly’s preaching group.  He made the accusation  that our whole group and I needed to repent of our reviling and railing against sinners and that we are on our way to hell.   I will give more testimony on this sharp division caused by LaCroix & Skelly in the near future.

There have been multitudes of sharp divisions in the open air preaching community over words and behaviors that some, including myself, employ while preaching God’s Word and the Gospel to the lost in our world.  With that in mind I say with Paul that I praise God that the Gospel is preached!

Php 1:15-18 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

Setting a Standard of Holiness in Speech and Conduct

With that said, I have wrestled with a standard for which I would govern myself according to the Holy Ghost in my open air work.  So, whatever motivates another brother to preach and how he preaches, I give God glory and thanks the Gospel is preached.  For myself, I must come to a place where I am obeying the Holy Ghost and what He is teaching me in these matters.

Here are some standards I am laying out for myself:
1.  I will use words from the KJV Bible(preferred) in context and applicability.
2.  I will use words that are scientific or biblical in regards to sexual sins or otherwise.
3.  I will limit the use of slang, inflammatory, or non biblical words which may unnecessarily incite hearers.
4.  I will seek to use primarily biblical type parables vs. parables that play to the imaginations of sin.
5.  I will not apply my standard to other people but pray they seek the Holy Ghost for a standard for themselves and walk according to His direction if they have not already done so.
6.  I will seek to check my heart toward the lost, both before, during and after a preach.
7.  I will seek to do the Lord’s will in all things even if men don’t understand or approve.
8. I will seek to be flexible on words or behaviors for weaker brothers or sisters I am working with.  Rom 14 [new add, 07/08/17]

I would ask the saints to comment below in regards to standards they think we should institute in personal evangelism.   If I find them biblical I will certainly add them to my list.

My Past Defense and Future Hope

My defense of using harsh and colorful words that offend in the past year has been that curse words come from a heart of cursing toward the sinners.  I think the best and simplest example of this is when we preach that sinners are on their way to hell and they need to turn and live.  On the other hand the sinners will turn around and say, Go to hell you effing stupid preacher.  Do you see the spiritual difference?  Both times the same ‘curse’ word hell is used, but the spirit by which they are said are completely different.

I think the Westboro Baptist Church(consistent Calvinists) actually hate the sinners with God from their view and want to see them destroyed.  So, if you hate the sinners and you are actually cursing them with death, hell, diseases, you need a heart check.

I know, I know, the trite statement that most sinners and all lukewarm ‘Christians’ say about God is, “God hates the sin, but loves the sinner.”  However, correct thinking about this issue is that God can hate both the sin and the sinner, He is the Creator.  We however, as fellow creatures of mankind, must hate the sin, and love the sinner according to Jesus’ commands and teachings.  However, King David cursed and hated God’s enemies, was this sin?

Ps 109:5-21 Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love. 6 Set a wicked man over him, And let an accuser stand at his right hand. 7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty, And let his prayer become sin. 8 Let his days be few, And let another take his office. 9 Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.
Psa 109:10 Let his children continually be vagabonds, and beg; Let them seek their bread also from their desolate places. 11 Let the creditor seize all that he has, And let strangers plunder his labor. 12 Let there be none to extend mercy to him, Nor let there be any to favor his fatherless children. 13 Let his posterity be cut off, And in the generation following let their name be blotted out. 14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD, And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. 15 Let them be continually before the LORD, That He may cut off the memory of them from the earth; 16 Because he did not remember to show mercy, But persecuted the poor and needy man, That he might even slay the broken in heart. 17 As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him. 18 As he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, So let it enter his body like water, And like oil into his bones. 19 Let it be to him like the garment which covers him, And for a belt with which he girds himself continually. 20 Let this be the LORD’s reward to my accusers, And to those who speak evil against my person. 21 But You, O GOD the Lord, Deal with me for Your name’s sake; Because Your mercy is good, deliver me.

Psa 139:20-24 For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain. 21 Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

Is God’s eternal justice demonstrated at the throne of Jesus an act of love or hatred?  Most Christians will sheepishly answer they don’t know or understand how it could be love that God would burn and torment someone forever as Jesus taught in Mark 9:43-48

I do think there may be holiness preachers out there that could be ‘cursing’ sinners from their heart.  An actual desire to see people burn and suffer torment in eternal damnation.  This of course would be ungodly and must be forsaken for any who call themselves holiness preachers.  How do we judge each other on that issue?  Is it the tone, or particular words in particular order, a facial expression, or body language?  It is a heart issue, I think we can all agree so be careful when you judge the heart of another.  One way to be sure is to seek clarification, by asking the person their view.  Do you desire people to go to hell?  Does God desire that?  If God doesn’t want people to burn forever, then shouldn’t we line our hearts up with God’s?  In the future we will all agree that Jesus’ Judgments are righteous and true and we will all say Amen on that day to the everlasting damnation that God will mete out.  But, what about now?

My future hope is in Jesus who died for me and for you on the cross.  My future hope is that everyone who is active in the open air community will come to a civil and peaceable agreement on how we are to conduct ourselves towards; God, the saints, and sinners alike on these issues.  Let us not seek to fracture or divide but to understand and be united in the Holy Ghost.

Php_1:27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

1Th_2:4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:4-8)

Self Examination

In this whole arena of words and behaviors that varying holiness open air preachers use, we must ask ourselves and examine ourselves individually to see if our conscience is clear before the Holy God of the Bible.  Are these things sin to me?  Are they sinful to the hearers?  Are they sinful to God most importantly?  Is it my job to police every preacher on words and behaviors?  No, but I am my brother’s keeper.  If I am faithful to God I will want to keep the dialog open that we may refresh each other with the truth of what we think God has taught on these matters.  I would like to submit Rom 14 as a standard for those areas that we find to be doubtful.

megaphone

Ephesians 5:4– neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

Course jesting– greek word Eutrapelia: scurrility, ribaldry, low jesting

Ribaldry– mean, vulgar language; chiefly, obscene language

Vulgar– mean, rustic, rude, low, unrefined, pertaining to the common unlettered people

Obscene– offensive to chastity and delicacy; impure; expressing or presenting to the mind or view something which delicacy, purity and decency forbid

All of the above could certainly be subjective so we need to seek the Holy Ghost to ensure that we are not offending Him in any way with our preaching and ministry.  In my limited experiences I have found that being immersed in the filthy language and behaviors of sinners tends to cause us to harden our hearts toward them.  Rejection after rejection, repeating the wisdom from the Bible over and again can be very frustrating to say the least.  This is why we are called to long suffer brethren, this a a major fruit of the Holy Ghost.  Jesus was perfected in His sufferings.  Jesus was perfected?  Yes, He was completed by it, and we are called to suffer with Him.  Don’t you know how grieved He is by all the wicked things that you and I see in the open air?  This is just the tip of the iceberg of reality!  We see flashes of peoples lives, God sees everything!

Here is some good context for the above verse on course talk and jesting:

Eph 5:5-13 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

So here we see a list of people that will be condemned to God’s wrath, warning not to be a part of that, walk in the light as the Spirit leads, proving it.  Having no fellowship with these bad fruits of sin and reproving that!  Here is the real exciting part, it’s a shame to speak of these things of what sinners do in the dark, but the reproving of that is shown by the Holy Ghost reproving from within us and out of our mouths!

Prov 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

2 Timothy 2:23-25 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

2 Tim 4:2-5 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2 Timothy 2:14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.

1 Corinthians 5:11– But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Railer- One who scoffs, insults, censures or reproaches with opprobrious language.

Opprobrious– Reproachful and contemptuous language.

Here is where Jesus upbraided:

Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

Mar 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

So here we see our Savior exampling what to do to whole cities and even his closest disciples. But, these standard setting pontificating popes of the new open air movement know better than Jesus.  I do think that preachers can give an undeserved upbraiding, railing, or reproach to someone under their preaching.   This would be the danger for us all.  If we do so, we should immediately humble ourselves and ask to be forgiven.  But, to lump all rebukes, railings, and upbraidings under sin is to then to accuse Jesus of sin.  So, just as there could be unholy rebukes, there could be holy rebukes as well.  Adam LaCroix who has done a very thoughtful but erroneous teaching on this matter is spreading division and discord once again in the open air community.

I found this video of Br. Ruben Israel to be quite refreshing and challenging at the same time.  Warning, many offensive terms from the Holy Bible taught in this teaching.  If the German derivative of poo poo offends you, then you may not want to watch.

Here is a link to a document listing all of the verses Ruben uses in this teaching:

HARSH WORDS DOCUMENT

I have preached with Br. Ruben on some occasions and found he is one of the most humble men I know.  He has never used this sh$t word in his preaching while I have been with him.  I don’t think he uses it as a common term.  But, he makes a good point about the way the language is spoken and understood both in ours and different eras.  What do people understand and what language do they use, that we are preaching to?  Are we ashamed that God has spoken these harsh words through the prophets?  Was God too unloving and harsh with the wicked whore of Israel who had trampled His grace over and over again?

Eph 4:29-32 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth,

1 Peter 3:8-11– 8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

1 Peter 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Colorful Behaviors in the Open Air

What can and can’t we do as we preach to grab the attention of those who are lulled into the sin sick world in which we live?  This era is very difficult as the open air preacher battles; iphones, mp4 players with ear buds, tablets, computers, tv, music most of which is filled with gross sin which the carnal mind finds so attractive.   As Bro Jesse Morrell wrote of years ago, our preaching must be direct and pointy to the individual concerning their sin.  Granted their sin is a shame to speak of, yet we must uncover it and reprove it in order for their mind and heart to become concerned about their eternal destiny. This reality which will happen if they don’t repent often causes a great uproar to the listeners as they have never heard such things from any pastor or ‘Christian’ as they have experience them in our day.  Some will try and use Eph 5:4 in regards to coarse jesting as an evidence that some preachers go too far in their attention grabbing and sin.  But, again as I explained earlier keep reading the whole passage.  Telling dirty jokes to have ‘fun’ with the sinner or enjoy the thoughts of the sin described are not a motive of any open air preacher I know!  It is as Bro Jed has explained, “…a sinner is like a nice shiny brand new aluminum trashcan, looks good on the outside.  But, we want to rip the lid off of that vessel and dump all the filthy rotten contents out on the ground for all to see!” [not quoted from original source]

This is a great video on many fronts from Bro Jed Smock and Company.  It is challenging, edifying, and worthy of examination.  I warn you, you will find many extraordinary behaviors that most will criticize without ever having preached in the open air themselves.

2 Timothy 1:13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

Titus 1:9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

Titus 3:2-3 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

Titus 3:But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Proverbs 12:17-There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,  But the tongue of the wise promotes health.

Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

Filthy Talk by Bro Cope

Proverbs 15:1– A soft answer turns away wrath,  But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 18:23– The poor man uses entreaties, But the rich answers roughly.

Proverbs 20:3– It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.

Proverbs 25:15– By long forbearance a ruler is persuaded, and a gentle tongue breaks a bone.

Proverbs 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.

In finality, this is just a good proverb to meditate on…

Proverbs 22:11– He who loves purity of heart And has grace on his lips, The king will be his friend.

Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Great video from Bro Jesse Morrell, a highly seasoned and excellent preacher of God’s Word, enjoy!

Lastly, my thoughts are for those of you who are lukewarm in this era, and thus are not even qualified to bring an accusation against those who are actively seeking those that are lost in sin.  Do you believe that Jesus will turn you away with the MOST judgement, because you knew what was right but weren’t willing to obey Him?   If you are not being a witness for Jesus, shame on you!  Repent of not loving Jesus and the lost.  Get from behind your keyboard and speak the truths of the Bible to those in darkness and sin.

May God bless you all as you seek Him for your standards of language and behaviors as you preach the truths of Jesus to a lost and dying world.

Patience with Divisive a Man

cover

by John McGlone

I have been blessed over the last month to develop with a few saints of God the Heartland Openair Preaching and Evangelism Facebook Group, H.O.P.E.  Things have been going very well, making connections among the saints in our heartland region.  In just a few short weeks we have made some great event coordinations as well.  It’s been really good, peaceable, and simple.  We are up to about 50 members now, a few outside our region who are checking on what we are doing so they may initiate such a group for their regions.  Praise God, wouldn’t it be great to have different regional groups who help announce, coordinate, and work out strategies for the members?

That is the background for the story of a man I am compelled to introduce named Phillip Gage, from Holcomb, MO. who was invited to join our group.  From the very first welcome post on the thread, it seemed Phillip made his motives known to correct certain methods and standards for our group.  I decided to remove the thread from the board, as one of our tenets is not to bring doctrines to discussion but leave the board for coordination, recruiting, and brainstorming events.  He had also used some very vulgar language which I didn’t have time to deal with as I was heading out the door to preach at WKU all day.  I offered that he could discuss these things in PM for any members who were willing to do so.  I quickly set that up for him to discuss these things with the membership. The thread got quickly out of hand while I was gone with Phillip taking authority where he had none, accusing members of sin, etc.  I told the admins to ask Phillip if I could call him, then we would work it out.  He agreed and I called him after our hectic day on campus.  He seemed apologetic, humble, and yet passionate all at the same time.  I agreed he could stay on.  I returned home found the thread was much worse than I thought, and how many things that Phillip did causing so much discord and division in such a short amount of time.  You dear reader may be wondering what was he so bent out of shape about?  He heard other preachers using terms like; faggot, whore, etc and he was grieved in his spirit.  I explained my/our view on what may seem like harsh corrupt language comes from a corrupt heart, not from what the culture or even what an individual deems is corrupt.   We believe a curse word involves cursing in the heart toward the one whom it is directed.  For example, a sinner may say, “F… you preacher go to hell.”  We would reply, “God bless you sinner I don’t want you to go to hell!”  The same ‘curse’ word hell is involved but where is the cursing in the latter example?  Who has the impure or pure heart in these matters?  Thus when the open air minister is calling the world to repent of all the filthy, wicked things they promote and love, he must be careful not to have reviling in his heart toward the hearers.  These things we witness and see on the streets of  NeoSodom are vulgar and a shame to even speak but we are called to expose them.

Eph 5:11-13 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

We can easily see there that we should not approve of, or have fellowship with sin.  Even speaking of these wicked things sinners do is shameful.  But, despite the fact that it is a shame, we have to reprove and expose these things  which would mean we must speak of them…from a pure heart not defiled with reviling, hatred, and rioting on our parts.  That is our position for the group.

I spoke with Phillip again for about an hour the next day and it became very quickly apparent, he had come to teach our group his arbitrary standard of what speech and methods of open air preaching he approves.  At times he would be very patient, then outbursts of passion and anger about how grieved he was about our behavior.  He made threats to come and preach against us at the Memphis Pride we had planned.  I pointed out to him that if we were in sin, who was it and where was his evidence against them?  After a pregnant pause, he offered Marvin Heiman.  I immediately cautioned him about accusing brethren and asked for his proof to which he did not offer any.  We spoke some more, then I hung up the phone very exhausted from maintaining my composure with a very belligerent phone call.

Over the course of the day the admins of the group came to the conclusion he wasn’t going to be a good fit.  We decided that Marvin and I would speak to him the next day by phone, I would be the second witness in regards to Phillip’s accusation against Marvin’s sin, whatever that was. We also decided because it seemed that Phillip was so passionate and accusatory that we would make a recording of it.

The next day we called Phillip and he was agreeable to the recording and discussion parameters of timed sequences with me moderating our time together.   I mention that we didn’t desire to publish this audio.  However, I have changed my view on this in light of all the trouble he has caused among our members and now other open air groups making false accusations and bringing discord. Here is that talk:

Discussion with Marvin Heiman, Phillip Gage, and John McGlone

We have removed Phillip from our group based on his unwillingness to admit he is wrong about his accusations against Marvin and now the saints of God.  At time 11:00 you hear his ideas that we should ostracize brethren, and separate ourselves. The Bible teaches us to seek reconciliation and peace among those of the household of faith, this was our motive and hope with him.

At time 19:01 Phillip asserts that the people that are hearing the words, determine whether or a word is a curse word or not.

The following godly brethren all part of our group had discussions on some level, either on private message or openly;  Marvin Heiman, Quentin Deckard, A.T. Love, Joshua Stanley Lovell, and Tim Brown.  I will include their testimonies as I receive them.  There were many others on the Street Preacher Movement Group, Jim Gilles, et all, who briefly encountered him.  This was before he realized that his testimony against me would not just be accepted without some testing by the saints.  He began blocking people, including myself.

Pro 6:16-19 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

Tit 3:9-11 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Heretick  Strong’s G141 αἱρετικός aihretikos hahee-ret-ee-kos’
– a schismatic. This word only occurs once in the KJV translation

I publish this blog post to make it apparent to all the saints how we have tried to work with Phillip, but he would not put down his unbiblical views on words and methods in the open air.  I also do this to warn and make aware to everyone in the open air holiness community of this divider of the brethren that they may call him to repentance.   Thank you.  May God bless you as you seek to glorify the Son!

One of the last correspondences Phillip gave to me was this pm, which he assumes many things based on a slanderous website against many open air preachers:

You’re living in adultery- remarried after divorce before your wife was dead. Without a doubt you have a gay daughter.

Who are you to lead men of God in organized activities and call yourself a preacher? You are disqualified from your post by your own admissions. Please refrain from speaking to me ever again. I WILL BE TO SEE YOU IN MEMPHIS. God has put me on you like a bloodhound buddy. You will be forced underground for what youve done

We have several refrigerators/freezers in our home, which get abused sometimes and I have to order parts for them.  I started an online chat with a Sears Parts Support Technician, named Spencer, I really enjoyed chatting with him from the beginning of our interaction.  But, you will see by the end of our conversation, I purposely turned the conversation to spiritual things.  I try to take the time to do this with anyone who I need to call for help, or someone who calls to sell or petition me at home.  Have you ever gotten a call from India?  I have and they believe in jesus, but their jesus is just one of millions of gods.  God knows what He can do in a person’s heart in that land by simple obedience of the saints to be unashamed of Jesus.  I hope they will be sober enough to listen to my Gospel presentation, so that we may see them in eternity.  One concept that freed me up in evangelism twelve years ago is the subtitle above; plowing, planting, watering with God granting the increase.  This is biblical and I realized that I didn’t have to get a ‘convert’ right there but to disciple myself and other believers that we would be about the spiritual agronomy of our Father’s business planting and watering. So, you can see by the end of the conversation we were really interacting on an intimate yet spiritual level even though I don’t know him from Adam.  As we ended our call, I wondered after him with compassion, hope, and a prayer that he will actually seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will be added to him.

Spencer (23:20:36 GMT) : Hello John!

john mcglone (23:21:34 GMT) : gr8t….[we had much going back and forth at this point finding two different shelves for two different models, so I’ll cut to the end of the chat]

Spencer (23:31:35 GMT) : Sure, John.
john mcglone (23:32:49 GMT) : Ok gr8, God forbid if you died today and stood before Jesus Christ, would you be guilty or innocent?
john mcglone (23:34:49 GMT) : Spencer?
Spencer (23:35:03 GMT) : I am sorry, I think I will be guilty.
Spencer (23:35:21 GMT) : I was thinking about it.
john mcglone (23:35:36 GMT) : Okay, if you are guilty where would you go? Good to think carefully about your soul…
Spencer (23:37:04 GMT) : I think he is kind enough and if I will beg for pardon, I will be forgiven.
john mcglone (23:37:43 GMT) : JUDGMENT DAY is not where you get mercy. Mercy must be had in this life while you breathe here or you will be condemned. That is according to the Bible.
Spencer (23:38:15 GMT) : I totally agree, John!
john mcglone (23:38:16 GMT) : He is kind enough to offer you pardon through Jesus Christ now. The Bible says, ‘Today is the day of salvation…”
Spencer (23:38:41 GMT) : Very true!
john mcglone (23:38:44 GMT) : I’m glad you do. You’ve been born again of the Holy Ghost?
Spencer (23:39:50 GMT) : I am planning to.
john mcglone (23:40:40 GMT) : What if you die before you surrender?
Spencer (23:41:12 GMT) :  With gods grace, very soon that will happen.
Spencer (23:41:16 GMT) : Hope you are a blessing to others
john mcglone (23:41:45 GMT) : I hope that I am as well. Will you check this link? http://www.jesuspreacher.com/becoming-a-christian/
Spencer (23:41:55 GMT) : Sure, John!
john mcglone (23:41:56 GMT) : put it in your smart phone!
Spencer (23:42:00 GMT) : Thank you very much!
john mcglone (23:42:12 GMT) : You’re welcome, I care about you.
john mcglone (23:42:20 GMT) : Love Jesus, Hate Evil!
Spencer (23:42:45 GMT) : I’m glad to see that someone isn’t afraid to address such a topic.
Spencer (23:42:54 GMT) : It was really nice chatting with you.
Spencer (23:43:01 GMT) : Have a great evening ahead!
john mcglone (23:43:13 GMT) : It’s so important! Nice talking to you as well. I hope to see you in the Kingdom of Christ!
Spencer (23:43:29 GMT) : Me too, John!
Take care!
john mcglone (23:43:32 GMT) : Good bye Spence…

Dear friend in Christ if you look at the ‘hook’ highlighted in red above you will find that it is an excellent spiritual question which; brings about the hard topic of death, urgency of ‘today’, shows compassion[God forbid], names the Name of Christ, and asks them to judge themselves whether they be guilty or innocent[appeal to the conscience/law].  This gives them time to really think about their own life IF they stood before God today.  Then you will see the fishing line of the blue highlighted question, “If you are guilty, where will you go, heaven or hell?”  Which really is an attention grabber and opens them up to humble interactions.

Saints, I hope you are encouraged and edified with these concepts/ideas and practice and implementing them right away.  Lastly, you will find this works anywhere, anytime, with anyone of any religion, cultural, or experiential background.    Try it in line at Walmart, Lowes, at the auto repair shop, school, your ‘church’, etc.

May God bless you with many Kingdom rewards for His glory!

America in Distress! Flying Our Flag Union Down

downflag
Flying the Colors Union Down, July 4, 2016 Nashville, TN

by John McGlone

Today I took my retirement flag out of it’s case of 15 years, and flew it upside down at the 4th of July event in Nashville. This was a warning and sign of imminent danger and distress for our country. See subpara (a) It got lots of attention all day long as I knew it would.  However, I am not seeking to disrespect our country, flag, or people by doing so.

I am not a homosexual, socialist, or Muslim who was burning or stomping on our flag. I am a Christian American who served 21 years in the Navy, exercising my duty to warn my countrymen displaying our flag in a lawful manner. Not many know of this display, but I have handled the Ensign and Union Jack for our ships thousands of times. Ceremonies daily at 0800 every morning, sunset every evening, funerals, burials at sea, ship commissioning, decommissioning, gun salutes, etc…This display got lots of emotional tirades, some humble questions, and lots of thought provoking of careless Americans on one of our most celebrated of holidays in Nashville , TN where the week before the District Court was bathed in homosexual rainbow banners/flags flying high and ‘proud’.

Here are some of the reasons why God is angry with Americans and is judging our country:  1.  Abortion 60 million plus innocent babies murdered  2.Homo and Hetero Sexual perversions/approval  3.  Militant Feminism  4.  Destruction of the Family  5. Corrupt Goverment/politicians  6.  Wicked Educational, Medical, Social, and Financial establishments.  7.  Rejecting God and His Word in every area of our culture.

This demonstration of our union down as we fly ‘Old glory’  is a lawful way to display our flag as you can see here. I am warning, God’s JUDGMENT is about to fall. Homo and Hetero Sodomy is a threat to National Security! God firebombed Sodom and Gomorrah for these very things. We are putting our lives and property in dire danger and imminent distress of God wrath IF we don’t repent of our national and individual sins!

U.S. Code › Title 4 › Chapter 1 › § 8
4 U.S. Code § 8 – Respect for flag

Current through Pub. L. 114-38. (See Public Laws for the current Congress.)

US Code
Notes
prev | next

No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.

(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.

(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.

(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.

(f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

(h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.

(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
(Added Pub. L. 105–225, § 2(a), Aug. 12, 1998, 112 Stat. 1497.)

This retirement flag which I received after 21 years of military service in the U.S. Navy had been flown over the U.S.S. Arizona if any know what that means and where that is…

Lastly a warning from Scripture for all you patriots out there:

2 Pet 2:4-22 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Instead of singing, “God bless America”, we need to start blessing God both in song and our conduct.  May God stay His hand of execution that we may repent as a nation and return to Him who establishes nations.
